Overview on Vendor Preferences

Want to make ordering a more automatic process? We offer a unique opportunity to order items based on your vendor preferences.

Vendor preferencing is a prioritized list that allows OrderDog to determine how to create orders for all of your vendors in one place. When an item is available from more than one vendor, OrderDog will automatically know to order from your preferred vendor.

Here's an example of a scenario where vendor preferences come in handy:

If most of your store's product comes from NOW Foods, you would want to place NOW Foods at the top of your list, which indicates that across all the items you are ordering, OrderDog will prioritize ordering from this vendor first if the vendor sells the product.

Because NOW Foods likely does not have every item you wish to order, OrderDog will prioritize the next vendor on your list who does sell that item.

There is no set limit for the number of vendors you can prioritize, and there are even more opportunities to be specific with your preferences, such as setting preferences with brands, and even individual items themselves. You can always change which vendor you want to order an item from on the fly as well.

With OrderDog, you'll be able to automate your process while having full control over your ordering.
